The pre-built work was concerned with the analysis of factors that influence the definitive success of the therapy in the application of synthetic materials in uroginekology. Detailed preparations and electron-microscopic analysis of synthetic materials at the Center for Biomedical Research were conducted at the Medical Faculty in Nis. An experimental study was also carried out at the Medical Faculty in Nis, while a part of the mechanical testing of materials was done in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Histology HE staining and Trihrom Masson, quantification of inflammatory cells as well as collagen quantification were carried out at the Center for Biomedical Research at the Medical Faculty in Nis, while the analysis of oxidative stress was carried out at the Department of Biochemistry.

A detailed statistical analysis of the data showed that the weight of synthetic materials directly affected the degree of oxidative stress, and that oxidative stress reversely proportional to the definite strengthening of the abdominal wall with polypropylene grafts. The results and conclusions of the study can be of use and applied in everyday surgical and clinical work.
