The judicial-medical or judicial-psychiatric committee is a professional body of the Faculty that performs judicial-medical or judicial-psychiatric expertise in criminal and civil proceedings and cases on the requests of courts and natural persons.

The work of the Judicial Medical Committee is regulated by the Ordinance on the work of the Judicial Medical Committee, while the work of the Judicial Psychiatric Committee is regulated by the Ordinance on the work of the Judicial Psychiatric Committee of the Medical Faculty of the University of Nis.

The election of the president, deputy president and members of the Judicial Medical Committee and members of the Judicial Psychiatric Committee is carried out by the Teaching and Scientific Council for a period of three years.

The court-medical and judicial-psychiatric committee may, if necessary, engage other teachers of the Faculty and establish special commissions.
