DEAN’S MESSAGE
Thank you for visiting our
International Medical Student web site. The M.D degree program for international
medical students has been established by the Medical Faculty of the University
of Nis in partnership with the Foreign Medical Education Advisors, Inc., (FMEA).
This program focuses on
training international students from Europe, USA, Canada, Asia, Pacific Rim and
other countries of the world. This program is 6 academic year after high school
(12th grade) leading to a Medical Doctor degree. This curriculum is the same as
the Serbian program at the medical faculty. The first 3 years is basic science
and the last 3 years is clinical science. International students may be required
to attend Serbian basic science classes with supplemental basic science classes
taught in English. During the clinical years, international students will be
assigned in group of 2-3 to English speaking professors for hospital rotations.
The Medical Faculty has a 2,000 bed well equipped University Medical Center.
This program is also open
for those Serbian students who were not admitted into the Serbian program for
whatever reason and are willing to pay full resident tuition.
